KENI to sing Nat'l Anthem World Series!
Nashville, TN, Oct. 27, ‘09......Country Star Keni Thomas heads to the Big Apple to sing the National Anthem at the opening game of the 40th World Series, Wednesday night, Oct. 28. The New York Yankees, the reigning American League Champions, will host the National League Champions, the Philadelphia Phillies, in the best-of-seven opener Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Yankee Stadium. The game will be televised on FOX at 7:57 p.m. EST.
“As a veteran, it’s a privilege and an honor to be part of Major League Baseball’s tribute to veterans tomorrow night, and to represent country music,” commented Thomas. Amongst a select few artists invited to sing the National Anthem during the Yankees regular season, Wednesday night’s game marks the sixth time that Thomas returns to sing at Yankee Stadium.
